Bring On the Brights!

Monday, December 3, 2012
I absolutely love the bright hues that seem to be taking over wedding boards, blogs, and shops these days.  It's so nice to see these colors as I look outside at rain, rain, rain!  Bright, vibrant colors are definitely en vogue for weddings these days.  I am seeing a lot of intense oranges, coral, purples, turquoise, lime green, and red in a lot of weddings.  I've collected a few of my favorite ways to use these colors below.

peaches and pinks
I love the rich, vibrant hues of orange and magenta in this tablescape.

Bright pink bouquet
Equally lovely is this intense pink bouquet, accented by gold-orange ribbon.

Another option for the flower girl is a wand... some ribbon, a styrofoam ball, flowers, a dowel rod...
Instead of a flower girl basket or rose petals, how about these gorgeous flower wands?

Elegant Ombre Ruffle Wave Cake
Love this bright turquoise cake for a beach wedding.

Turquoise and color wedding
Wow!  This fluorescent coral and turquoise table is stunning on the beach!

LOVE the orange hues against the damask.
Love those bright colors against the black and white damask.
So pretty!
Ahhh, those hot pink shoes and turquoise dresses.  Amazing!

Vera Wang ring with Pink Tourmaline and Micro-Pave Diamonds
How about intense for the diamond?  I'm sort of in love with this ring!

Instagram Fun

Wednesday, November 28, 2012
I love Instagram.  As the owner of a wedding company and as someone who loves many forms of social media, I've really taken to Instagram as a way to share inspiring wedding ideas, as well as the personal side of me.  I think this is an important niche for many companies, especially small ones, like Wedding Belle Favors, that prides itself on personalized service.  Come take a look. I'd love to have you follow (and I'll probably follow you back).

Who is Wedding Belle Favors?

Thursday, November 15, 2012
You see our name across your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds.  You might have visited our website.  Maybe you've even had the pleasure of seeing one of our favors at a party or wedding you attended!  Who is Wedding Belle Favors?

We began as a wedding planning company in 2002.  As we added custom, handmade favors and gifts for our clients, the response was huge!  This eventually became the focus of the business in the retail world.  But then we began to get inquiries from wedding vendors, event professionals, and online sites if we offered a wholesale program.  Thus, we have blossomed into the business we are today.  We are strictly wholesale and sell to authorized vendors, event planners, and also refer retail customers to where they can find our products.

Our specialty is handmade, hand designed items.  Our soaps are custom made in our studio.  We hand pack our sachets on a per-order basis, so customers are getting the freshest product possible.  We hand pour eco-friendly soy candles (our real shell Coconut Candles are out of this world!).   Most of our products have the option for the customer to choose ribbon color and to add personalized tags (which we hand tie ourselves).

We are always happy to accommodate special requests for our vendors' customers.  Likewise, we welcome requests to offer products for magazine shoots, t.v. shows, special clients, or discounts for large quantities.  We are happy to work with event professionals to create custom favors that fit their clients' needs.

Keeping Kids Busy At Weddings

Saturday, September 1, 2012
Kids are often included in weddings.  Whether they are flower girls, ring bearers, or guests, kids can play an important role in modern day nuptials.  Many couples find it important to provide activities, games, and even childcare at their event for kids.  Below, here are some of our favorite ideas for kids.

1.  Kids' note to the bride and groom.  Provide crayons and other supplies for the kids to create their own personal message for the couple.

2.  S'mores Bar.  What kid (or adult for that matter) doesn't love to make s'mores?

3.  Kids Table.  Make a special table devoted to your littler guests

My Daughter's Lemonade Stand

Wednesday, June 20, 2012
OK, this is not directly related to weddings, but hear me out.  As a business owner of a wedding business, I also juggle my time being a Mom (especially with summer upon us), so it's kinda related. :)

My daughter is S-O-O-O excited about her new lemonade stand for the summer.  This is her second summer taking on this endeavor and she is behind it 100%:  fresh made lemonade (not powder), keeping track of costs, etc.  So I felt she needed a little extra "design help" for her stand.  With the business, I have pallets laying around all the time.  I took one and added some chalkboard paint (paint primer beforehand is a must).  Voila!  A super cute sign and readerboard of the day's specials.  I just can't stand how cute this turned out and how much fun she had on her first day today.

Emma's Lemonade Stand, Bean Squeeze. Come on down!

P.S.:  This sign idea could work for a wedding!

Happy 10th Anniversary....To Me!

Friday, June 8, 2012
I know it's been a small stretch since I've posted some wedding inspiration, but today I celebrate 10 years with my husband.  Here's a pic from right after we were married:

And here we are vacationing on our honeymoon in Jamaica:

Have a great weekend everyone!

B-I-G Balloons

Thursday, May 24, 2012
So much to be inspired by in weddings today!  It's always hard to choose one topic to write about.  Lately, we have been blown away by the oversized balloon trend.  For me personally, I was never a fan of the smaller balloons at weddings, the dreaded "balloon arch", and all that.  But these oversized balloons that people are using as photo props and decor are, shall we say, elegant?  Take a look at some recent favorites below.

These oversized red balloons for this photo are super cute.

Love these beauties as an overhand for a table.

L-O-V-E these oversize X-O balloons. We think they could even work at a reception, too.

Pretty white balloons serve as a nice accent & backdrop for a dessert table.

What We Love About Weddings

Tuesday, May 15, 2012
Wow, we've haven't posted an entry for almost two weeks.  Sorry!  We have been busy at Wedding Belle Favors making favors and processing orders.  But we have been yearing to write about weddings and what we love, so here goes. Sometimes, it is so hard to hone in on a specific subject to write about on our blog.  We, of course, love to write about favors, but we love ALL things weddings, and honestly, with all the wonderful wedding inspirations out there right now, it's hard to choose.  So we have compiled a list of our "best of the best", what's inspiring us these days, just what is plain fabulous when it comes to weddings.  So here ya go:

1. Pompoms and Lanterns.  We still absolutely love the popularity of lanterns and pompoms.  With so many choice out there and and ounce of creativity, you can make your event truly special, like the one below.
Pinned Image
2.  S'mores.  Yes, a whole entry devoted to s'mores.  They are wildly popular as dessert items, appetizers, and now, as part of proposals!
Pinned Image
3.  The Color Orange.  Yeah, yeah, yeah.  We're always talking about it and it's the hot color right now.  But it deserves it!  On it's own or combined with brown, purple, lime green, red....you have divine wedding decor!
Pinned Image
4.  Faux and brooch bouquets.  I am a big fresh flower fan, but some of these bejeweled bouquets are swoon-worthy.
Pinned Image
5.  Eco-Favors.  Yes, it's a buzz word in weddings these days.  But particularly when it comes to favors, eco-friendly options, such as plantable favors, live trees, and these soy coconut candles, can't be beat.
Pinned Image
6.  Different Bouquets.  We love the idea of wrist bouquets and these pomanders for bridesmaid or flower girls.

We might make this "best of" segment a weekly splurge.  Stay tuned.....:)
