Bring On the Brights!

I absolutely love the bright hues that seem to be taking over wedding boards, blogs, and shops these days.  It's so nice to see these colors as I look outside at rain, rain, rain!  Bright, vibrant colors are definitely en vogue for weddings these days.  I am seeing a lot of intense oranges, coral, purples, turquoise, lime green, and red in a lot of weddings.  I've collected a few of my favorite ways to use these colors below.

I love the rich, vibrant hues of orange and magenta in this tablescape.

It's About The Shoes

Love, love, love the wide array of beautiful, creative, and non-traditional wedding shoes we are seeing these days!  From rainbow pumps, sparkle sneakers, and many other options, brides and bridesmaids are showing up with some pretty cute feet. :)

Bridesmaids (above) are looking quite stylish with hearts on their shoes, glitter Toms, rainboots, and watercolor rainbow shoes.

Bridal Showers: What We Love

1.  Mini-Cakes.  We absolutely love the trend with mini cakes; sometimes one per guest or one per table.  The one below seems perfect for a bridal shower.


2.  Umbrellas.  What's more perfect than umbrellas to accent a shower?  These cute parasol-style umbrellas below are to die for!


3.  Fun Drinks.  We are loving the trend of old-fashioned soda in bottles, decorated straws, and interesting punches and cocktails for showers.

4.  Creative Cupcakes. Cupcakes are still wildly popular, but we really like the creative angle party throwers are taking in their presentation.  For example, we love these teacup cupcakes below, perfect for a shower.

5.  Lanterns.  Still in love with lanterns for parties of all kinds, including showers.

Ruffles

Well, they are romantic, pretty, elegant, & chic.  No wonder ruffles are making a big splash on the wedding scene.  We can't complain.  Wait until you see some of the gorgeous ruffle finds below.  Have fun!

Purplicious

We did a post a few weeks back on the striking color combination of purple and lime green.  Purple, in general, is everywhere!  Especially for weddings, it brings a welcome spirit and beauty.  We love it particularly when it is paired with lime green, orange, and even hot pink.  Below find some inspirations for a wedding or special event with this great color.

Color Focus: Yellow & Orange

We can't stop hearing about yellow and orange as primary colors for a wedding theme.  Colors that were once only part of Fall weddings are now taking on a fresh look with nuptials.  Take a look......
